Main Street Players is a passionate, volunteer-driven theatre troupe based in charming Edgefield, South Carolina. Our volunteers hail from across the region, from Aiken to Augusta, Newberry to Edgefield and surrounding areas. We are all united by a love for storytelling and live performance.
We stage four shows per season in the historic Discovery Center, 405 Main St., in the heart of downtown Edgefield. With its intimate setting, each of our 50 seats offers a close connection to the stage.
Past shows have included: Steel Magnolias; Honky Tonk Heroes; Always, Patsy Cline; Christmas Belles; Sordid Lives; Driving Miss Daisy; Four Old Broads; The Foursome; and much more!
Like the actors, directors, technical crew, and everyone who works hard to bring our shows to life, the Main Street Players Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers. Those volunteers are:
Dustin Turner - president, marketing
Ruth Bledsoe - Vice President
Linda Clancey, Secretary
Bradley Watts, Artistic Director
George Boyd - Tech/Facilities
Suzanne Boyd
Jessica Wood
Sam Crouch
Honorary board members: Caroline Bland, Beth Worth
